Police Academy Senior Command Advisor

The SLEA – Police Academy Senior Command Advisor is part of a team of criminal justice professionals from various critical disciplines.  The SLEA – Police Academy Senior Command Advisor is the principal subject matter expert (SME) to work with the host-country in enhancing their police academy/training center capabilities.  Engility is seeking highly qualified Senior Law Enforcement Advisors (SLEA) with specialized senior management experience in large police academy/training center management, operations, fiscal oversight, resident and non-resident police student care, instructor cadre development and evaluation, facilities management and programs/curricula oversight.   Successful SLEA Police Academy Senior Command Advisor serves as part of a larger team of law enforcement technical advisors in assisting the host nation to build and strengthen police service capabilities with strong foundations in rule of law, respect for human rights and applied global best practices in law enforcement disciplines.  The SLEA Police Academy Sr. Cmd Advisor will work directly with senior host-country Police Academy commanders in advising and mentoring improvements in programs, administration, facilities and student/instructor cadre infrastructure while the training center undergoes extensive reconstruction.  The SLEA Police Academy Sr. Cmd. Advisor will also advise various host-country officials on construction best practices in relation to police training services and curricula delivery.   The host-country(ies) police academy training facility reconstruction will be occurring while training services continue and student throughput capacities increase.  The SLEA Police Academy Sr. Cmd. Advisor will also work with various US officials from the Departments of State (DoS) and Justice (DOJ).  Duties also include facilitating meetings, coordinating VIP tours, leading working groups, developing reports and specialized papers, conducting briefings and active participation in advising officials through planning, phase assessment and evaluation processes.  Most work will be performed at designated host-country site(s).  The SLEA Police Academy Sr. Cmd. Advisor will work closely with an Engility Construction Advisor in supporting the host-country officials.
