Culture is key to effective action and  leadership is key to culture

This full day workshop explores the levels of ethical behavior and the cultures they form that impact police officer performance. Police action and behavior affects many areas from partner relationships to citywide dynamics. The moral integrity and courage required to act ethically and with effective impact are vastly improved when officers and leaders understand and are fluent in all levels of ethical behavior

 Participants will be able to:

1.  Define and identify the three levels of impact and the ethical, moral aspects and challenges of each.

2.  Describe the different applications of power and how it applies to each aspect of ethics.

3.  Analyze the cultures you work in and interpret the ethics of each.

4.  Apply insight about your culture to identify opportunities for strategic improvement.
 
Each group will work together during the class to examine the issues and culture they are working in  to develop insights into new opportunities
